BEAT COVID-19 AND PLAY GOLF SAFELY

Suwannee Country Club Is FREE ??? !!!
Yes, that’s right!  Suwannee Country Club is FREE of COVID-19 so you can come on out and enjoy the fresh air and take your mind off what’s creating havoc in the rest of the country.  Thanks to Governor DeSantis’s announcement that golf is an Essential activity, you can still enjoy playing a round of golf.

To help take the stress out of your life, you may want to adopt these “optional COVID-19” universal precautionary rules during your round.

  1. Observe the 6-foot social distancing rule during play. This goes double for family members.
  2. Players will be charged a one stroke penalty if they touch the flag stick or reach in the hole to retrieve their ball.
  3. “Gimme distance” may be extended to 5 feet.  This helps avoid the penalty in Rule 2.
  4. A one stroke penalty is charged for touching a rake near a bunker (this should be easy for some of you that never use them anyway).
  5. Balls landing in a bunker may be lifted and placed within the bunker (no nearer the hole) without a penalty stroke.  This will help you avoid the penalty in Rule 4.
  6. Players will smooth sand with their foot or a club after hitting from a bunker.  Failure to do so will result in a one stroke penalty.

Whatever rules you play by, enjoy the game and be safe. We’re open Monday to Sunday 8-5:30.  Don and his staff have made the course look great and my staff and I will be here to serve you.

CHECK FACEBOOK OR CALL THE CLUB HOUSE TO SEE IF HOURS ARE CHANGED DUE TO COVID-19.  WE’LL UPDATE FACEBOOK AND SEND OUT AN EMAIL AS WELL.  IF YOU’RE NOT ON OUR EMAIL LIST, CALL ME AT THE COURSE AND I’LL SEE THAT YOU GET ADDED TO THE LIST.

Have a good round!  Bob Budwick Pro/General Manager
